04 TREE FRIENDS

(2018-)

"Tree Friends" is a collection of photographic portraits, each capturing the unique essence of trees from diverse environments around the globe. Shot on 120 and 35mm color film, this series explore the symbiotic relationship between humans and nature. These trees, portrayed in vivid detail and color, represent more than just flora; they are symbols of resilience and perpetual growth, weathering storms and bearing the weight of ages.

Through the lens, we witness the trees as silent narrators of time, their outstretched branches like arms reaching out to the unknown. "Tree Friends" is not just a photographic journey but a philosophical exploration. It reflects on the ironic juxtaposition of the constant and the transient – trees, typically symbols of permanence, are here captured in a state of motion and change. As city guardians and natural protectors, these trees provide shade and solace, speaking volumes through their quiet existence. This series invites viewers to see trees as our companions and givers, encouraging a deeper appreciation for these magnificent beings that stand as testaments to time and life itself.
